Cancellations, renewals, and refunds

1. Overview

PE Practice offers digital practice exams and analytics on a subscription basis. This policy explains how cancellations, renewals, and refunds work for purchases made directly through our website/app.

2. Subscriptions & auto-renewal

Subscriptions are billed in advance for the selected term (currently bi-weekly) and auto-renew at the end of each term until canceled. The renewal charge will use your saved payment method at the then-current price.

3. How to cancel

Go to your Profile page

Navigate to your account settings

Click 'Manage Billing'

This will open your Stripe billing portal directly

Cancel your subscription

Once your customer portal open you can manage your subscriptions and billing information

You can also cancel by contacting support@powerengineeringpractice.com from your account email.

4. Refunds

We keep things simple. If something wasn't right with your experience, please reach out to us so we can make the platform better.

Here are some examples of things we'll review:

Duplicate charges due to a technical error
Accidental renewal where no material usage occurred after renewal and you contact us within 14 days
Service discontinuation if we terminate your account or discontinue the Service for reasons other than a breach of our Terms

  • Description of what happened and what the issue is
  • The more details the better so we can help resolve the problem faster

5. Didn't pass? We've got you.

We want to see you succeed. If you've put in genuine effort on the platform and don't pass your exam, we'll work with you to understand what could be improved with PE Practice, and will provide additional access while you are preparing for your retake.

What we're looking for:

At least 3 completed attempts across any test mode (practice or exam)
At least 1 attempt that included all units or chapter for the relevant exam class
An active subscription at the time of your real exam
Something else not right? Let us know, we're always looking for ways to make PE Practice better.

6. Billing issues & chargebacks

If you believe there is a billing error, please contact us first at support@powerengineeringpractice.com.

Filing a chargeback without attempting resolution may result in account suspension or permanent termination.

7. Changes to pricing or terms

We may change subscription prices or terms with notice as required by law. Changes take effect on renewal. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the renewal date.

Governing law: This Refund Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
